Making a Will

Experience shows tomorrow could be too late – make a Will now so that your wishes are respected.

-

Do you need to make a Will?

At KP Solicitors we take the time to discuss your circumstances and your wishes with you so that we can provide practical advice and draft a Will that meets your specific requirements.

The fact is every adult should make a Will. You may have assumed your estate will pass to certain people but if you have not made a Will then the law will dictate who will inherit your estate.

It is particularly important to make a Will if you are not married or are not in a registered civil partnership as the law does not automatically recognise cohabitants. Similarly, if you have children or dependents, it is important that provisions are made for their care. Special provisions can be made in a Will to protect the interests of disabled children or family members who have financial or relationship difficulties.

Does your existing Will still reflect your wishes? Have your circumstances changed?

At KP Solicitors we recommend a review of your Will every 3 to 5 years, or after any key life developments. We offer a free initial conversation to discuss your requirements to make sure that your Will is still reflective of your wishes and achieves what you need it to in order to protect your assets for your family's benefit after you have passed.
